Overview

  • In 2024, our discipleship theme will be “Finding Life in Community”, and the combined EDC hopes the following two initiatives will promote a greater sense of community and other-person centeredness.

1) To manage traffic around the Church in a way that demonstrates kindness to the residents along Mangis Road and Joo Chiat Lane:

  • We will emphasize 1 way traffic (to only enter the church via Mangis Road)

  • There will be two drop off points along Everitt Road and along Joo Chiat Lane

  • All vehicles that exit the Church can only turn left

Driving to Church & Parking

2) To be other-person centered and outreach focused.

  • We want to prioritize church parking for visitors, members who are elderly, members with mobility problems, or have young children.

3) To care for those who serve the Body of Christ.

  • We want to provide parking for those individuals who are serving across two services (e.g. musicians, worship leaders, pastors).

4) To promote fellowship after services.

  • There will be no double parking allowed for the 9am and 11am services, so that members who drive can stay to fellowship without feeling a “pressure” to shift their cars.

Refreshment and Fellowship Meal

Refreshments will be served after each service at the Agora. All worshippers are encouraged to stay back to eat and fellowship as it will give us many opportunities to know new friends!

We are looking for members to serve in the refreshment team ( we need 3 persons per service) who will

  1. Serve the food

  2. Open and close the refreshment station; and

  3. Dry the plates / bowls / utensils after members have washed them.

If you’re interested to serve as part of the refreshment team, you can let your DG leaders know. For those who are not in any DG but are keen to serve, you can approach Mary or Desmond from church office.
