Desmond joined HPC in 2017 after spending 21 years working with an US company in the marine industry.

He enjoys travelling, movies and watching his favourite football club, Liverpool, and sports stars on TV.

He is glad to be part of the church staff who work effectively behind the scenes to ensure that each church service and activity is well planned, coordinated and executed.

Rosalind worked in HPC for ten years. Prior to that, she was a Personal Assistant and Executive Secretary in several foreign companies. She adds humour to her life as she believes "laughter is the best medicine".

She spends quality time with her son, Colin, sharing about God and their daily activities.

During her spare time, Rosalind loves to listen to music, read, watch TV and play brain games on her mobile phone. She goes for brisk walking occasionally and does daily low impact aerobic and yoga exercises.

Mary was baptised in KPC in 1976. She left the church in the early 80s to join an evangelistic singing group that had outreach to Malaysia and local churches. After many years, the Lord brought her back to KPC.

Mary has served in the KPC Administration since August 2010. During her tenure, she has been responsible for maintaining the membership database and office accounts, preparing bulletin and presentation slides for the Sunday services, wake services and member care. She also oversees the Holy Communion, refreshment and usher teams. In 2024, Mary will focus on Office Admin, Church Membership, Member Care/Care Zone, SAF and Sunday Service Support.

She joined CBSI in 2004 and is also attending SLBS. She is actively involved with the Senior Adults Fellowship, interacting and assisting seniors with their needs. She enjoys going to SAF Camp and learning from the seniors’ faith journey, patience, endurance and perseverance.

Mary loves singing and was in the church choir for many years. Currently, she is learning to play the ukulele.

Chris works in administration and you will find her behind the scenes preparing for Sunday service, providing IT support, facilities management, maintenance of website, and supporting the AV team. In 2024, she will take on a new role in Procurement & Contract Management, and IT. She is excited about the new challenges, especially the implementation of new IT systems.

She is leading 2 bible study groups, part of our outreach efforts to the nurses at Serene Nursing Home and domestic helpers. She also supports overseas outreach, partnering with Ton San Church in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Every year, she organises trips to create awareness and support for the work in Ton San.

Chris enjoys playing drums and can often be seen playing drums with the worship band during Sunday services. In her free time, she enjoys cycling with friends to explore different parts of Singapore, or just chill at home channel surfing.

Joevan works in administration and you’ll often find him preparing all the behind the scenes details for the Sunday services. He likes singing with the worship band and can sometimes be spotted on stage with other singers on Sunday mornings. He’s also quite the movie buff!

Finance

Karen has served in KPC since 2011 as a part-time Accountant. She gave her life to the Lord Jesus during her youth, thanks to the outreach work of the Presbyterian Church. Having been blessed by God, she wants to serve God with her gift and knowledge of accounting. Throughout her service, she has learned to abound and abase in all circumstances and thus grow in her faith.

In her accounting role, Karen oversees and coordinates the financial function to ensure the effectiveness and continuous improvement of the church’s financial plans, policies, and activities. She has been able to apply her past corporate experiences and incorporate them into KPC’s practices and policies. Additionally, Karen is responsible for banking, budgeting, audit, monthly financial and year-end closings.

She joins Sermon Link Bible Study to deepen her knowledge of the Word. She is also an active member of the Senior Adults Fellowship and often provides support as needed.
