Outreach, SHioK Community, Church Camp

Caleb Seow has attended Hope Presbyterian Church service since a young age. Through regular attendance and involvement within the community, the church has shaped the way he understands the gospel and his perspectives and outlook on life. This has led him to be convicted and take ownership of the faith itself, getting baptised by the church in 2011.

He has since been involved in areas such as performing arts, worship and the outreach Life/Christianity Explored series.

Caleb is a relatively active person, and enjoys cycling, running and skateboarding – all of which are viable modes of transport that he uses to get to church.

SHioK Community

Eva, a member of Hope Presbyterian Church since 2009 and is an active member of BSF (Bible Study Fellowship), where she served as a Group Leader and a Children Leader.

Eva works at the Agency for Integrated Care, where she drives awareness of the healthcare related support available in the community. Her goal is to help seniors and caregivers find the help they need easily.

Beyond her work, Eva is passionate about serving the marginalized. In 2016, she co-founded Project Chulia Street as a platform to reach out to migrant workers in Singapore. , She loves spending time with young adults to chat about their spiritual walk, work, and family. During her free time, you may find her in a spin studio or relaxing with a good book at a cafe.

Eva is married to Joey Sng, they have three goofy kids: Julius (21), Jillian (18), and Jedidiah (11).

SHioK Community

Married to Yiqing from Hope Presbyterian church, Eugene is a first-generation Christian and have been a follower of Christ since he was 16 years old. He’s a self-confessed adventure junkie and loves sports.

Eugene used to serve in Sunday school and van transport service to Eunos MRT. He now leads Bible Study in his cell group and is part of the 2023 Camp Committee as well as Exploring Together ministries such as the Wednesday Dinners.

He hopes to contribute to community building as both churches work out the integration process.

Worship Ministry

Wesley, after looking back over all these years, acknowledges that God has indeed been good to him, preserving and protecting him through 3 major operations. Right now, he works in the Banking & Financial industry and is married to Magdalene. He enjoys cooking and baking as a form of relaxation. As a couple, they enjoy watching movies and K-dramas, travelling, as well as simple things like spending time together over coffee and cakes, with their niece and nephews.

He started attending KPC in 1981. He served as a praise leader and thereafter as a Worship Leader and Befriender. He also co-led a group with his wife during the church wide Bible Study held in 2015 and was part of KPC’s Marriage Mentor Team.

His current ministry is with the Worship Ministry as a committee member as well as a Worship Leader cum Vocalist

Worship Ministry

Marianne is the wife to Sam Nee, and mother to Faith (9), and Joy (6). She comes from a family that has attended KPC for generations. She is a clinical psychologist by profession.

Marianne has been serving in the worship ministry ever since Elder Alan Thng challenged her to serve as a pianist for the Sunday School when she was 12 years old. She currently serves on the worship committee and leads the team of worship leaders.

Worship Ministry

Seow Wei Xun accepted Christ as a child in Sunday School. Following a period of stagnancy and skepticism in his late teens, Wei Xun’s faith in Christ was renewed and solidified through a personal encounter with the living God while in university - an event he shared as part of his testimony when becoming a member of Hope PC in 2018. He has actively served in HPC’s Worship Ministry as a worship leader and backup singer.

From a young age, Wei Xun has been fascinated with animals and enjoys seeing God displayed in His creation. He lives with his wife, Lisa, and their adopted Singapore Special dog, Belle.

Youth Ministry

To Glorianne, Katong Presbyterian Church is where she’s been calling home for the past 26 years of her life. She has been challenged and grown by many people in this church as they teach her the Word of God from when she was little, modelling what a life laid down for Christ looks like.

She’s currently a Social Worker working in a Family Service Center. In her free time she enjoys solving Sudoku puzzles, cycling and taking walks by the beach. She especially loves watching a good sunrise or sunset.

She’s currently serving in the Youth Ministry where she plan for events and the weekly service with the committee. She also serves in the Children’s Ministry where she teaches and plays with children!

Adult CG, Young Adult Transition

Matthew has been part of KPC since he was 16 years old and is where God has made him and given Matthew new life. He’s a software engineer and plays the guitar, video games and Rubik’s Cubes.

Matthew has been a small study group leader and has helped to coordinate several church events such as 2022’s Salt and Light conference as well as the Festival of giving.

Currently he’s serving as a musician in the Sunday Service, leader of the young adult ministry and committee member of the IT ministry.

Overseas Missions

Eric Lee accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Saviour when he was nineteen.

In church life he has served across various ministries including as CG leader, church camp organising committee member, as well as, on the Church Audit Committee. Eric currently serves on the EDC and chairs the Missions Committee.

Outside church, Eric serves as a Facilitator of the EPMC-organised Kairos course. Previously he had served as a leader with Bible Study Fellowship (BSF).

Eric manages corporate communications firms in Singapore and Indonesia and is happily married to Monica for over 30 years, and they have an adult daughter, Sabrina. Together, they love their fur kids, enjoy great food, watching musical theatre & movies and family holidays.

IT, Communications

Elvin Liow became a Christian at the age of 10 and has been serving in HPC since he was 18, mainly as a Bible Study leader to the youths, as well as in various capacities. Currently, he is serving in the Praisebabies as an uncle-teacher to the tiny ones amongst our midst. He has a wife Cheryl whom he has been married to since 2012 and has two sons, Samuel and Timothy, who are 9 and 5 respectively.

A software engineer by training, Elvin currently works as a public servant in a Statutory Board. His interests are diverse, ranging from photography, to playing and watching basketball, to reading and gaming, both electronic and board types.

Christian Education

Wei Hao has been a member of KPC since 2019. In his working life, he had spent time as a Social Worker in a local Family Service Centre (FSC) and then in different ministries in the Civil Service. During this time, he studied part-time and finished his Masters in Divinity. He is now part of the gig economy and involved in a few different vocations concurrently, which includes adjunct lecturing at a local seminary.

He is married to Annette, and they have a young daughter Rebekah. Whenever possible, they love to travel and take photos. Their favourite continent is South America.

Wei Hao has been involved in Youth and Young Adults ministry since he was a tertiary student and one of his current burdens is to help bridge the gap between the different generations in the church. He is one of the co-authors of “The Generations Project - Bridging Generational Divides in the Singapore Church” which was published in 2023. Part of his ministry now involves helping churches with their intergenerational ministry.  

Chinese Service 华文部

Qu Chen comes from Shaanxi, China and has a wife, Yiling and a daughter Melinda. he works in the logistics department of a pharmaceutical company and loves biking, running and listening to music.

Qu Chen was previously part of the Core Team for the KPC Chinese Congregation and is currently serving in the worship team, the AV team and leading the Working Adults Bible Study Group in KPC’s Chinese ministry.

Chinese Service 华文部

Priscilla is a financial consultant with Income Insurance Limited and comes from a non-Christian family. She accepted Christ and was baptised at Ang Mo Kio Church. Since 2003, when she transferred her membership to KPC, she has been growing and serving in the Chinese Congregation. KPC has helped brought her late mother, 3 siblings and friends to Christ.

Previously, she served with the Navigators in the discipleship ministry at Ngee Ann Poly, and is now serving as part of the core planning team for the KPC Chinese Congregation as well as in the worship ministry and Bible Study Group Leader.
